I'm Leeni Tuovila and I breed chihuahuas in small scale.
I live in Mikkeli, which is located in eastern Finland.

I have only a few dogs at home because every one of them is a dear child
for me and I want to be able to give every one of them a lot of attention and time.

For me breeding is important but it's not everything. Even more important are the
dogs as friends. I like everyting that has to do with dogs, especially shows.

My goal in breeding is to have 1-2 litters a year from carefully planned combinations.
I'm a perfectionist when it comes to breeding. I'm very critical about my own dogs and do not
want to compromize on many things. Quality before quantity, this is only a hobby for me.

I got my first chihuahua in 2004. I got my prefix in 2007 and same year I also became
a ringsecretary for shows. I like to educate myself on courses on breeding and dogs in general.

A big help for me in the beginning was Saija Mustonen, Little Step's kennel. She has patiently
given me advise and been a real source of information. Thank you Saija! Later on also Merja Kahelin,
Helmiäisen kennel, has helped me a lot. I have gotten much help and advise from her and also
she is a very dear friend to me. Thank you Merja!

I'm a member of Finnish Kennel Club, Chihuahua Club (in which I am also a deputy board
member 2009-2011) and Finnish Dog Breeders Club.
